AshantiGold SC Appoints Abdul Karim Zito as new Head Coach till the end of the Season
FC AshantiglGold have appointed Abdul Karim Zito as their new head coach until the end of the 2025/26 Season.
The former Asante Kotoko boss joins the club as they push for promotion to the Ghana Premier League competition.
Zito is widely respected for his tactical discipline and ability to nurture young players.
His arrival is expected to strengthen the club’s technical structure and guide the team’s long-term ambitions.
The Obuasi based side confirmed the appointment in a statement welcoming their new gaffer to the teams camp.
“Coach Karim Zito is in our camp. He has joined the technical team. His experience. His discipline. His winning mindset. This adds strength to our bench and belief to our squad. Welcome to FC Ashantigold, Coach. Let’s get to work,” the club wrote.
AshantiGold are aiming to improve results in the ongoing Division One League season.
Zito recently stepped down from Kotoko after managing just one win in six matches.
The Minners currently sits at top of the Division One League Zone 2 with 40 points from 22 games, holding a narrow three points lead over Ebusua Dwarfs FC.
