Our source in the Football Federation of Honduras has confirmed that the match will be played in Washington before the Black Stars relocate to their training camp in Rhode Island.

This encounter will serve as Ghana’s last warm-up fixture ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The Black Stars have already completed four international friendlies as part of their preparations. These included a 5-1 defeat to Austria in Vienna on March 27, a narrow 2-1 loss to Germany in Stuttgart on March 30, a 2-0 defeat to Mexico on May 22 involving home-based players, and a 1-1 draw against Wales in Cardiff on June 2.

These matches provided valuable testing against strong European and CONCACAF-style opposition, helping the team build cohesion, assess squad depth, and fine-tune tactics.

The upcoming clash with fellow CONCACAF side Honduras will offer specific preparation insights, particularly relevant to their Group L opener against Panama.
