The Daddy Lumba final resting place has finally been revealed after months of speculation, as the family of the late Highlife legend marked the first anniversary of his passing with a private memorial ceremony.

The intimate event, held on Saturday, brought together close family members and associates to celebrate the remarkable life and musical legacy of the legendary singer, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu.

During the ceremony, Daddy Lumba’s sister, Faustina Fosuh, disclosed that the celebrated musician was laid to rest in a specially built mausoleum at his private residence in East Legon, Accra.

According to her, the decision was made by the family, bringing an end to months of public curiosity about the Daddy Lumba final resting place.

“I would like to tell all my brother’s fans across the world that if anyone wants to see where he was buried or his final resting place, they can come to East Legon, to his house,” Faustina Fosuh said.

Her announcement marked the first official confirmation of where the music icon was buried and offered fans their first public knowledge of his final resting place.

The memorial ceremony also served as a tribute to Daddy Lumba’s immense contribution to Ghana’s music industry. Widely regarded as one of the country’s greatest Highlife musicians, he inspired generations of artists with a career spanning decades and countless hit songs.

The revelation of the Daddy Lumba final resting place is expected to bring comfort to many admirers who have long wished to know where the legendary musician was laid to rest.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra after a brief illness. He was 60 years old.
