Radio presenter DJ KA has issued a public apology following the circulation of a viral video that has sparked widespread reactions on social media.
In a statement titled “Official Apology to the Public,” the broadcaster expressed regret to his family, friends, fans, listeners, and the general public for the controversy caused by the video.
“I, DJ KA, sincerely apologize to my family, friends, fans, listeners, and the general public for the recent video that has circulated online. I take full responsibility for my actions and the pain this has caused,” he stated.
DJ K.A explained that the video was recorded four years ago during what he described as a very difficult and private period in his life. According to him, the footage does not reflect the person he is today.
He noted that he has grown over the years, learned from his mistakes, and remains committed to becoming a better person while continuing to serve the public through his work.
“I want to clearly state that the video was recorded four years ago during a very difficult and private period in my life. It does not reflect who I am today. I have grown, learned from my mistakes, and I remain committed to being a better person and continuing to serve you through my work,” the statement read.
The radio presenter also appealed to the public for forgiveness, understanding, and continued support as he navigates the situation.
“I humbly ask for your forgiveness, understanding, and continued support as I navigate through this moment,” he added, ending the statement with, “Thank you. I’m truly sorry.”
