GFA Appoints Prosper Nartey on two-years deal as Head Coach of the Black Starlets
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum as head coach of the Black Starlets on a two-year contract.
The decision follows his recent takeover from Frimpong Manso and comes after he guided the national U-17 side to qualification for the 2026 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The main tournament is scheduled to kickoff in April, with preparations already underway.
The FA believes a long-term deal will offer stability and allow the technical team to build a competitive squad.
Ogum’s role goes beyond the dugout, as he also serves as the association’s Head of Education.
The Ghanaian gaffer led West African Football Academy into their historic third place in the Ghana Premier League in the 2020/21 season.
Dr. Ogum also let Asante Kotoko to win the GPL title in 2021/22 season, he doubled as assistant coach to the late Annor Walker at the Black Galaxies in 2023.
