Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur Osebo the Zaraman has publicly apologised to Bishop Daniel Obinim following the backlash over a promotional video he recorded with the preacher’s wife, gospel musician Florence Obinim.

Speaking on the matter on HitzFm, Osebo insisted that he had no intention of disrespecting Bishop Obinim and maintained that his decision to feature in the promotional video was driven by goodwill.

“If my friend Daniel Obinim feels it was wrong for me to do a video with his wife, I’m sorry. Whatever I did for her was with a clean heart,” he said.

Osebo explained that he values his friendship with the founder of the International God’s Way Church and wanted to clear up any misunderstanding that may have arisen from the collaboration.

He further noted that supporting Florence Obinim was no different from the promotional work he has done for other gospel musicians, including Piesie Esther and Grace Asley. According to him, his involvement was solely to support her music and not to create controversy.

The apology follows Bishop Obinim’s public criticism of his wife during a church service after she appeared in the promotional video with Osebo despite the strained relationship between the bishop and the fashion icon.

Florence Obinim later clarified that she had no ill intentions, explaining that she only approached Osebo to assist in promoting her latest music project.

Despite the controversy, Osebo reaffirmed his admiration for Florence Obinim, describing her as a woman of good character and commending the uplifting and inspirational messages in her gospel songs.
