VfL Wolfsburg Manager Daniel Bauer has defended Ghana international Jonas Adjetey, saying the focus is on developing the young defender and integrating him into the team.
“Jonas comes from a smaller league, is a very exciting player, but naturally still has some issues to address. Especially in our current situation, the focus is on developing him and integrating him into the team through training,” Bauer told Kicker.
Adjetey, joined Wolfsburg from FC Basel in January for a reported €10m. The Ghana defender has seven caps and is expected to strengthen Wolfsburg’s backline.
Bauer acknowledged Adjetey’s potential, saying he’s “a very exciting player.”
