Zanetor and Ayariga Face Parliamentary Vetting Today
Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings and Mahama Ayariga are among five nominees set to appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Thursday, August 27.
Ayariga, the Bawku Central MP, is nominated as Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, while Zanetor, MP for Korle Klottey, is nominated as Minister-designate for Environment, Science and Technology.
The committee will assess their experience, competence, policy priorities and vision for the respective ministries.
Three judicial nominees—Justice Sophia Bernasko-Essah, Justice Edward Amoako Asante and lawyer Anthony Forson Jnr—will also be vetted for possible elevation to the Supreme Court.
