Bishop Obinim says he has been faithful since 2017 and insists he has only four children.

Daniel Obinim, the founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, commonly known as Bishop Obinim, has denied allegations regarding his personal life. He asserts that he has remained faithful to his wife since 2017 and has no children outside of their marriage.

During a speech to his congregation on June 30, 2026, Obinim addressed the ongoing rumours surrounding his marriage to gospel singer Florence Obinim, especially after a recent public disagreement between them.

He challenged anyone to provide evidence of any extramarital relationships he may have had in the past nine years. While he acknowledged that he had previously admitted to having multiple girlfriends during the early years of his marriage, he emphasised that he abandoned that lifestyle in 2017.

“I have said that even if I had affairs and multiple girlfriends, all of that ended in 2017. There is no woman in Ghana, or anywhere else in the world, who can come forward and say that from 2017 to now, 2026, I have had a sexual encounter with her,” he stated.

Obinim also dismissed long-standing claims that he has fathered children outside of his marriage, calling the accusations false. He stated that he has four children with Florence Obinim—two sons and two daughters. Their names are Dr Grace, Gifted Obinim, Promise Obinim, and Angel Obinim.

“I have only four children. I don’t have a child anywhere else. So if you hear someone saying that Obinim has a child somewhere, let them keep talking. When they get tired, they will stop,” he said.

Furthermore, Obinim revealed that he has chosen to end the recent public exchanges with his wife after what he described as divine direction. He noted that he has deleted all videos he previously shared about their marital dispute, explaining that he believed the Holy Spirit instructed him to do so.

The church leader expressed his intention to refrain from publicly discussing his marriage in the future, hoping that this decision will help bring closure to the controversy that has attracted significant attention on social media in recent weeks.
