Ghana Tourism Authority Extends Deadline for December in GH 2026 Event Proposals
The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of event proposals for the 2026 edition of December in GH to Monday, September 7, 2026.
The extension gives event organisers, promoters, cultural innovators and experience creators additional time to submit their concepts for consideration and possible inclusion in Ghana’s premier festive-season programme.
The December in GH 2026 calendar of events will run from December 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, bringing together activities focused on culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage and unforgettable experiences.
The programme is expected to provide opportunities for both Ghanaians and international visitors to experience the diversity, creativity and dynamism of Ghana during the festive season.
According to the GTA, December in GH continues to evolve as a defining expression of the Black Star Experience. It has moved beyond being simply a calendar of events to become a nationwide cultural journey showcasing Ghana’s diverse rhythms, stories, flavours and cultural expressions.
The Authority said events selected for the official December in GH 2026 programme will be integrated into the national campaign and amplified through the Ghana Tourism Authority’s local and international promotional platforms.
This means successful organisers could benefit from increased visibility and exposure as part of the nationwide festive-season campaign.
Interested event organisers, promoters, cultural innovators and experience creators are therefore encouraged to use the extended period to finalise and submit their proposals before the new deadline of Monday, September 7, 2026.
Proposals should be submitted through the designated application platform at www.bit.ly/3P2Tdbi.
For enquiries and additional information, applicants may contact the International Affairs Secretariat of the Ghana Tourism Authority on +233 0240402408 or via Internationalaffairs@gta.gov.gh.
