Ghanaian Forward Charles Herrmann joins Circle Brugge in Belgium
Belgian top-flight side Cercle Brugge have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian Winger Charles Herrmann from Germany side Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The German-born Ghanaian winger has Ghanaian roots, arrives from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach after signing three years permanent deal.
The 20-year-old spent much of the season with Mönchengladbach’s reserve side but also featured in the first-team.
Herrmann made 16 appearance across all competitions this season, scoring twice and providing three assists.
He developed through the academies of Hannover 96 and Borussia Dortmund and lifted both the U17 World Cup and U17 European Championship with Germany.
Herrmann is the son of former Ghana international C.K Akonnor, remains eligible to switch international allegiance to Ghana in the future.
He is expected to make an immediate impact in the Belgium PRO League to be available for Black Stars call up ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
