The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, has called on the international energy community to invest in Ghana, stressing the country’s readiness to support both fossil fuel exploration and renewable energy development.

Speaking at Ghana Energy Day in Accra, held on the sidelines of the 2025 Africa Oil Week conference, Mr. Madjie highlighted Ghana’s strong investment appeal. He pointed to ongoing economic reforms, a stable political climate, and robust legal frameworks that safeguard investor interests.

To further boost investor confidence, he announced the introduction of the Investor Grievance Academy — a new platform designed to swiftly address and resolve business concerns before they escalate.

“Ghana is serious about attracting, keeping, and helping investors thrive,” Mr. Madjie affirmed.

He explained that Ghana’s long-term strategy is to establish itself as a hub for energy investment in Africa by leveraging petroleum resources while advancing green technology innovations.

Mr. Madjie added that Ghana’s balanced energy approach — combining traditional resources with renewable solutions — presents unique opportunities for global partners looking for sustainable and profitable ventures on the continent.
