Midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana scores for Cagliari in an emphatic win over Verona
Ghanaian Midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has been on target for Cagliari in their 4-0 emphatic win against Verona in the Italian Serie A.
Luca Mazzitelli scored the first goal in the first 36 minutes, before Semih Killcsoy doubled the lead, giving the host advantage before half time break.
Sulemana came off the bench to replace Laca Mazzitelli in the 66 minutes and he was on target in just six minutes before full time, extending the lead for the host.
Riyad Iddrissi hit the back of the net in the injury time, sealing the victory on Saturday afternoon at the Unipol Domus stadium in Italy.
The 22-year-old midfielder has made two appearances, scoring a goal since joining Cagliari on loan from Atlanta in January, 2026.
He is expected to make an impact to gain playing time to be able to make Coach Otto Addo’s Black Stars FIFA World Cup squad in June.
