Nobody Can Stop Me loving him, – Shatta Wale Declares Love for Stonebwoy

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has reaffirmed his support for fellow dancehall musician Stonebwoy, insisting that nothing can stop him from loving or supporting his colleague.

Shatta Wale made the remarks on October 3, 2026, during the 2026 edition of ShattaFest held at the Youth Resource Centre in Ho in the Volta Region.

Speaking to fans gathered at the event, the veteran dancehall artiste said he would not allow media reports, public comments or the opinions of others to influence his relationship with Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale stated, “The media can’t stop me from loving Stonebwoy,” stressing that he would continue to support Stonebwoy and the work he is doing in the music industry regardless of what people say.

“They cannot stop me from loving Stonebwoy. They cannot stop me from supporting what Stonebwoy does. Everything somebody tells you in Volta, that be fucking. I don’t have any enemies. I’ve given my life to God a long time ago. I don’t want to fight anybody,” he said.

Shatta Wale further explained that he does not consider anyone his enemy and has no interest in engaging in conflicts with other people.

He also made a notable comment about his relationship with Stonebwoy, saying: “I just don’t want you to be my friend.”

His declaration was followed by a notable moment on stage when his DJ played Stonebwoy’s 2020 hit song, Putuu Freestyle (Pray). Shatta Wale subsequently performed along with the song, further highlighting his public show of support for his fellow dancehall artiste.

The 2026 edition of ShattaFest also featured performances and appearances from several Ghanaian entertainers.

Volta Region artiste Chief One joined Shatta Wale on stage during the celebration, while dance groups DGL Academy and DWP Academy also entertained the audience with their performances.

ShattaFest was held at the Youth Resource Centre in Ho on October 3, 2026, following the success of the 2025 edition.
