Shatta Wale Brings Ghana to a Standstill Today with ShattaFest 2025 x Shattabration: The King Calls
Ghana’s music scene is set to light up tonight as Shatta Wale hosts his highly anticipated birthday concert, ShattaFest 2025 x Shattabration: The King Calls, happening this evening at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The free event kicks off at 4:00 PM and promises to keep fans on their feet until around 10:30 PM. The official dress code is white, symbolizing unity, love, and celebration for the King of Dancehall.
The concert follows Shatta Wale’s birthday yesterday, October 17, and he says ShattaFest is his special way of showing appreciation to his loyal fans who have stood by him through the years.
Music lovers can expect a star-studded night with performances from Wendy Shay, Medikal, Tinny, JZyNo, Jupitar, and Empress Gifty, among others. The stage will also welcome Kwame Yogot, Captan, Rashid Metal, Togyal Renner, Mandem Yopic, and Chuku Lion—a true celebration of Ghanaian talent.
The event will be hosted by Adom TV’s energetic presenter, Sister Sandy, while Nigerian influencers Peller and Big Jiggy have already touched down in Accra to join the excitement.
ShattaFest 2025 is powered by MoMo Fest (Mobile Money Ghana Limited) with support from Shaxi and Charterhouse.
Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., Shatta Wale remains one of Ghana’s most celebrated reggae-dancehall artists, known for hits like Dancehall King, My Level, and Taking Over. His collaboration with Beyoncé on Already took his global recognition to another level, cementing his place as one of Ghana’s biggest music exports.
In another exciting move, Shatta Wale has submitted his song ‘Street Crown’ for consideration at the Grammy Awards 2026, expressing optimism about securing a nomination.
As the sun sets over Accra, all roads lead to the Black Star Square — because tonight, the King calls, and Ghana answers!
