Shatta Wale to Deliver Guest Lecture at UPSA on Music Marketing and Branding
Shatta Wale is set to take on a new role as a guest lecturer after accepting an invitation from John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor to speak to students at University of Professional Studies, Accra about music marketing, branding, and the business of entertainment.
According to report by GHOneTV, the invitation was extended by Professor Mawutor, who believes the award-winning dancehall artiste’s entrepreneurial journey and innovative approach to digital marketing can provide valuable insights for students, especially those studying marketing, branding, and the creative arts.
According to the Vice Chancellor, Shatta Wale’s ability to leverage the internet to promote his music, build a powerful personal brand, and sustain a successful career makes him an ideal speaker for aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives.
“I want Shatta Wale to come and address UPSA students. I’d love for him to share his business knowledge and how he learned to make music using the internet,” Professor Mawutor said.
Reacting to the invitation, Shatta Wale expressed his appreciation and confirmed that he would honour the invitation.
“Thank you, Vice Chancellor. I will be there,” the musician wrote, indicating that his visit is expected to take place in September.
The session will provide students with an opportunity to hear directly from Shatta Wale about his approach to marketing, branding and leveraging digital platforms to grow his music business.
