Head coach Marcelino Garcia has dropped Ghanaian Midfielder Thomas Teye Partey from Villarreal matchday squad ahead of Osasuna clash on Saturday evening.
The Ghanaian midfielder has struggled to make an impact since joining Villarreal last summer, featuring in 21 matches but completing only five full games.
Marcelino expressed his disappointment with Partey’s performances, saying there’s a “world of difference” between the Thomas Partey he knew at Arsenal and the current version.
Partey’s omission from the squad suggests he may be on his way out of the club, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Villarreal will look to bounce back from their Champions League disappointment, but Partey’s absence could be a blow to their chances.
