Ghanaian stand-up comedian DKB has publicly expressed his disappointment with Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew following Ghana’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The criticism came after the Black Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to Colombia on July 4, 2026, in the Round of 32, bringing another disappointing World Cup campaign to an end.

In a social media post directed at the experienced forward, DKB questioned Ayew’s performances throughout the tournament and wondered what had gone wrong. He acknowledged that Ayew had been instrumental in helping Ghana secure qualification for the World Cup but said he was unable to understand why the player failed to deliver when it mattered most.

Addressing Ayew directly, DKB said:

“Bra Jordan, I am not smiling. You qualified us to the World Cup. Now, push the country forward. What happened? Is it the coach that told you not to play well? Because I don’t understand.”

The comedian went on to compare Ayew’s performances for Ghana with those he has produced on the international club stage. According to DKB, Ayew has repeatedly shown his quality by scoring impressive goals at club level, making his World Cup displays even more difficult to comprehend.

He added:

“On the international platform, look at the type of goals you scored. If you score the same for us, what will happen?”

DKB further admitted that he had tried to convince himself that Ayew’s performances during the tournament were better than they actually were. However, after reflecting on Ghana’s matches, he said he kept replaying the forward’s missed chances and mistakes in his mind, hoping the outcomes had been different.

He said:

“I am trying to reverse everything in my mind. All the moments you fumbled, I am imagining that it went well. It’s not all working.”

The comedian concluded his message by asking a question he believes many Ghanaian supporters have been asking since the team’s elimination. Expressing the disappointment felt by fans across the country, he questioned what should now be done with the Black Stars jerseys supporters proudly own.

He ended his post by saying:

“Right now, what should we do with the jerseys we have?”

Ghana’s World Cup journey came to an end after a narrow 1-0 loss to Colombia in the Round of 32 on July 4, 2026, marking another disappointing FIFA World Cup campaign for the Black Stars and leaving many supporters frustrated with the team’s overall performance.
