Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about a health challenge that she says left her struggling to walk for several months and forced her to depend on assistance to move around.

The actress shared the account in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as she marked her 25th birthday and responded to questions about her prolonged absence from social media.

Daniels explained that the condition began as what appeared to be a minor problem but gradually worsened, affecting her ability to move freely.

She said the situation took a more difficult turn after a Children’s Day carnival she hosted, following which she underwent repeated medical tests while trying to understand what was happening.

“I know many of you may be surprised to see me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life,” she said while explaining her absence.

The actress described the experience as emotionally and physically challenging, saying the pain sometimes became so severe that she could not move as she wished.

“The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.

Daniels also spoke about the difficulty of depending on other people for even basic movements, a change she said was particularly challenging for someone who had previously enjoyed an active lifestyle.

She said she had continued to look to God for healing during the period and expressed gratitude for improvements in her recovery.
