Appoint Mr Richardson Commey Fio as Executive Director for National Commission on Culture – Kojo Preko Dankwa
As the NDC’s government agenda to reset Ghana for a better economic management is still on course, there have been high profile personalities appointed to occupy state institutions to work towards the progress and betterment of the country.
One key sector within the creative economy that needs critical attention is the National Commission on Culture which is an agency under the ministry of Tourism culture and creative arts.
The national commission on culture’s mission is to maintain the unique cultural identity and values for the promotion of an integrated national culture as well as contribute to the overall economic development of the nation.
Contrary to the ongoing appointments, president of Ghana’s most Vibrant creative Advocacy group, Foundation of Concerned Arts Professionals (FOCAP) and host of KESSBEN ENTERTAINMENT on KESSBEN 92.9 FM Kojo Preko Dankwa in a Facebook post has tabled down a rich portfolio of Mr. Richardson Commey Fio hence urging with the President and his appointment committee to appoint Mr. Commey as the executive director for the agency.

If the NDC truly believes in the Cultural, Arts, and Tourism (CAT) approach to work effectively, then their last bet is to appoint Mr Richardson Commey Fio as the Executive Director for National Commission on Culture. A man of integrity and vast knowledge in our cultural sector.
Currently, the Deputy Executive Director of National Commission on Culture.

*- June 2018 – April 2019: Head, Research, Education and Information – National Commission on Culture
*- October 2011 – May 2018 – Head of Performing Arts and Programs, Centre for National Culture – Cape Coast.
*- November 2012- June 2013- Acting Regional Administrator, Centre for National Culture, Cape Coast.
Mr Richardson Commey Fio is deep, and he is needed to build the brand, visibility, and effective functionality of the commission.
