PHOTOS: Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang Returns to Ghana After Medical Treatment in London
Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has returned to Ghana after a period of medical treatment in London, United Kingdom. She arrived at Kotoka International Airport on Thursday afternoon to a warm welcome.
Leading the welcoming party were President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama. Also in attendance were Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, senior government officials, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, and members of her family.
In a brief address, the Vice President expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ghanaian public for their prayers and well wishes throughout her recovery.
She extended her appreciation to her medical team, including those at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), for their professionalism and care. She also acknowledged the unwavering support of President Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, highlighting their kindness, attentiveness, and encouragement during her time of need.
