[WATCH] Nigeria Afrobeats Star ChiNaZor Refix Shatta Wale’s Monster Hit “ON GOD”
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation ChiNaZor, whose real name is Deborah ChiNaZor, is the latest artist to put her spin on Africa’s Dancehall King Shatta Wale’s mega-hit song “ON GOD.”
Two years ago, this track quickly gained massive popularity and international recognition following Shatta Wale’s historic performance at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert in Jamaica.
ChiNaZor, an ardent fan of Shatta Wale, expressed her admiration for the original song by heading to the studio to create a refix in her unique style.
Shatta Wale is well-known for his energetic stage performances, during which he has performed many of his hit songs, including “Lion King,” in collaboration with Beyoncé, the most decorated Grammy artist in history with 35 wins and 99 nominations. Reflecting on his performances, it was his controversial song “ON GOD” that played a significant role in elevating his craft and gaining even more attention.
