Demons Rule the Entertainment Industry – Jim Iyke Says Fame Encourages Self-Worship

Published

on

Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has stirred debate after claiming that the entertainment industry is heavily influenced by what he described as “demonic” forces, arguing that the culture of fame often promotes self-glorification instead of devotion to God.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Joey Akan, the celebrated actor said the entertainment industry has become an environment where many individuals prioritize elevating themselves above serving God. According to him, this pursuit of fame and personal admiration amounts to a form of self-worship.

Jim Iyke explained that there was a period in his career when he believed he was exceptional because of the overwhelming adoration he received from fans. He recalled occasions when people would cry, faint, or become emotionally overwhelmed simply because they saw him in public.

However, he said his outlook changed after developing a deeper relationship with God. The actor noted that his spiritual journey helped him realize that the level of admiration celebrities receive can easily become a form of misplaced worship if they are not careful.

“There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry. This is where demons live. Entertainment is totally created and orchestrated to extol the virtues of Satanism,” Jim Iyke said during the interview.

Expanding on his views, the actor acknowledged that creativity itself is a gift from God, explaining that creating art reflects God’s own creative nature. However, he argued that the structure of the entertainment industry often encourages artists to glorify themselves, seek validation from the public, and pursue a status that places them above others

“As a creative, to create is to mimic God. But in the entertainment structure, many serve self. You can’t serve God and serve self. Serving self is satanism itself,” he added.

Jim Iyke stressed that entertainers must make a deliberate effort to remain grounded in their faith and resist being consumed by fame, influence, wealth, and the constant admiration of fans.

He concluded that discovering God transformed his understanding of success and significance, emphasizing that genuine fulfillment comes from a strong spiritual foundation rather than the applause, attention, and praise that accompany celebrity life. According to the actor, faith has helped him see beyond the glamour of entertainment and recognize the importance of keeping God at the center of his life.

“I Was Scared” – KiDi Opens Up About Becoming a Father While Still in University

Published

on

Award-winning Ghanaian musician KiDi has opened up about one of the most challenging periods of his life, revealing that he initially struggled with fear and uncertainty after learning he was going to become a father while still pursuing his university education.

Speaking on the Konnected Minds Podcast, the singer said the news came at a time when he was still trying to build his own future, making the responsibility of parenthood feel overwhelming.

“I was scared. I was in uni. I was scared. I was shaken,” KiDi admitted.

The “Touch It” hitmaker explained that the pregnancy affected his academic journey, as he had to prepare for his resit examinations while dealing with the emotional weight of becoming a father.

According to him, his biggest concern was how he would provide and care for a child when he was still trying to establish himself.

“So how to raise a child? I was still even raising myself. I was still trying to figure out my place in the world. So to come and add another human to that equation was such a scary concept.”

Despite those fears, KiDi said the unwavering support of his family, especially his mother, gave him the strength to push through the difficult period.

He recalled that knowing his family stood behind him kept him motivated to continue his education despite the challenges.

“One thing that kept me going was I always find a way. No matter how difficult it was. I knew I had my family. I knew I had those people behind me. My mom was always going to show up for me.”

The musician said that support ultimately enabled him to complete his studies and successfully sit for his resit examinations.

Reflecting on that period, he added humorously that he even relied on an energy boost to get through the exams.

“It helped me to finish my education. I even took some vim to go and write my resits.”

KiDi also disclosed that although he learned about the pregnancy early, he was unable to be actively involved throughout the pregnancy because he and the child’s mother were living in different countries.

As a result, he missed the antenatal appointments and only reunited with them after the baby was born.

“I wasn’t able to be there until he was actually born because we were in different countries,” he explained.
