Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has waded into the discussion surrounding Stonebwoy’s recent BHIM Fest concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in the United Kingdom.

Stonebwoy held the much-publicised show at the 12,500-capacity venue, drawing a large crowd.

The concert, however, became a subject of online discussion after videos emerged showing curtains covering some sections of the arena.

Some social media users suggested that the curtains were used to conceal unoccupied sections of the venue, sparking debate over the actual attendance and the concert’s success.

But Shatta Wale does not believe the arrangement should be seen as a problem.

Speaking during a live TikTok session on August 18, 2026, the dancehall artiste said he saw nothing wrong with Stonebwoy covering portions of the venue if that was the decision made by his team.

According to him, reducing the usable space in a large arena can be a deliberate event-planning decision and should not automatically be interpreted as a sign of failure.

“It’s not a shame at all. Maybe you want to use the venue to create a profile for yourself. Do you understand me?” Shatta Wale said.

He explained that an artiste could even book a major venue such as the O2 Arena and strategically limit the area being used depending on the expected turnout.

Shatta Wale argued that what matters is how the artiste understands the size of their audience and plans the event accordingly.

He therefore dismissed suggestions that Stonebwoy had done something wrong by having portions of the Wembley arena covered.

“It’s not that Stonebwoy has done anything wrong. He understood his size and arranged the venue in a way that suited him, and that’s exactly what he has done,” he stated.

The comments come despite the long-standing rivalry between the two Ghanaian dancehall stars, making Shatta Wale’s defence of Stonebwoy particularly notable.

Veteran Ghanaian actress Akorfa Edjeani Asiedu has been named Ghana’s Investment and Tourism Envoy to Türkiye, marking a new chapter in her public service career.

Gomoa Central Member of Parliament and staunch supporter of dancehall musician Shatta Wale, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has revealed that the artiste’s camp is considering a concert at London’s Wembley Stadium rather than the O2 Arena because of the venue’s limited capacity.

According to A-Plus, the Shatta Wale-led SM Movement has not yet settled on the O2 Arena due to concerns that the venue may not be large enough to accommodate the artiste’s growing fan base.

Speaking on United Showbiz, A-Plus explained that the decision was influenced by the desire to stage a concert on a much larger scale.

“As for us, the 4Lyfe and SM Movement family, the reason we can’t hold a concert at the O2 Arena is that the capacity is too small,” he said.

He disclosed that the team is exploring the possibility of securing Wembley Stadium, which can accommodate about 80,000 people, or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a future Shatta Wale concert.

“We are trying to see if they would give us Wembley. We would fill up Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of about 80,000. That is where we want to play, or maybe Tottenham Stadium,” A-Plus added.

He noted that staging such a major international concert would not only be a significant achievement for Shatta Wale but could also boost Ghana’s tourism and creative arts industry.

A-Plus further encouraged other Ghanaian musicians to aspire to perform at major international venues, citing Stonebwoy’s achievements as an example.

“We would also congratulate Stonebwoy and urge all artists to also try and do it. As we are saying all of this, support and sponsorship are also very important,” he stated.

He stressed that adequate financial support and sponsorship remain crucial for Ghanaian artistes seeking to organise large-scale concerts and establish themselves on major international stages.
