Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi: A Revolutionary Force Reviving the Pan-African Spirit

Published

on

Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi stands as a towering figure in the modern Pan-African movement — a man driven by purpose, heritage, and an unshakable belief in African unity and self-determination. Known not only for his powerful voice in reggae music but also for his tireless advocacy, Ras Caleb is transforming Pan-Africanism from a fading ideal into a living, breathing movement that speaks directly to the soul of Africa’s youth and future.

Through cultural activism, grassroots mobilisation, and relentless advocacy, Ras Caleb is redefining what it means to be Pan-African in the 21st century. He has revived the forgotten legacies of Kwame Nkrumah, Marcus Garvey, and Haile Selassie, not just in speech but in action — organising forums, creating platforms for African voices, and demanding that Africa rise above neo-colonial chains.

His approach is not about empty rhetoric but about concrete steps: promoting African unity, economic cooperation, cultural pride, and youth empowerment. Ras Caleb believes that Pan-Africanism must live in our communities, in our economies, and in our education systems — not just on paper.

He is currently leading initiatives to bring Pan-Africanism into schools, music, art, and local governance. His efforts are centred on reclaiming African identity, fostering continental solidarity, and ensuring that Africans lead African development.

Ras Caleb’s message is clear: Africa must unite or perish. Through his bold vision, unwavering commitment, and Rastafarian-rooted wisdom, he is making Pan-Africanism relevant again, not just as a political ideology but as a lifestyle, a solution, and a legacy for generations to come.

Oteele’s Wife Gifty Nana Afriyie Denies Being Woman in Leaked Video, Appeals for Support for Orphanage

Published

on

Gifty Nana Afriyie, the wife of Kumawood actor Oteele, has rejected claims that she is the woman featured in an alleged leaked private video involving her husband.

The clarification follows the circulation of a video on social media which reportedly shows Oteele in an intimate moment with another woman. The footage has generated widespread discussion online, with many social media users speculating about the identity of the woman seen in it.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, Gifty Nana Afriyie addressed the speculation and explained that some people who do not personally know her had mistakenly assumed that she was the woman in the footage.

She urged people to look carefully at the woman in the video and compare her appearance with hers, particularly her complexion.

According to Gifty, the woman shown in the footage is light-skinned, whereas she does not have the same complexion.

“The particular reason I am here is that some people who do not know me well think that I am the one in the video. No, please, I am not the one in the video. There is a light on me. Look at my skin colour and hand. I am not light-skinned,” she said.

Gifty, who also oversees an orphanage home, became emotional while speaking about how the controversy could affect the children under her care.

She apologised on behalf of herself and her family and appealed to families who have entrusted their children to the orphanage not to lose confidence in her because of the incident.

The visibly emotional wife of the actor said she remains committed to caring for the children and promised to continue serving as a good mentor and role model to them.

She also appealed to God for the strength and support needed to help the children grow and reach their full potential.

“I plead with families not to lose confidence in me. I will be a good mentor to the children. No family should come to take their orphans from the home because I love these children. I ask God to give me the strength and all the help I need to take care of them and help them reach the heights that will make my soul feel fulfilled,” she added.

The controversy has also drawn attention to Oteele, who has been at the centre of social media discussions following the emergence of the alleged private video.

The actor has described the situation as painful and embarrassing, particularly because of the intense public reaction and criticism that followed the video’s circulation.

According to Oteele, he had to console himself and find the strength to cope with the situation despite the insults and criticism directed at him.

He acknowledged that members of the public have the right to form opinions about him based on what they have seen, but appealed to people to remember that everybody has weaknesses and is capable of making mistakes.

Reflecting on the emotional toll the controversy has taken on him, Oteele said:

“If I don’t console myself, I will die. For someone like me who loves food, I can’t even eat. It is not easy. If insults could kill, I would have died by now. Some people are happy, while others are sad, but through all this, I have seen my enemies.”

The latest controversy has placed the actor and his family under intense public scrutiny, while Gifty’s emotional response has also attracted sympathy from social media users.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Oteele has since spoken publicly about the matter and discussed the possibility of approaching his wife with respected elders as the family seeks to deal with the situation.

Ramsey Nouah recounts unusual encounter with female fan at Ghana movie premiere

Published

on

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ramsey Nouah has opened up about an unusual encounter he had with a female fan during a movie premiere in Ghana.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, the veteran actor said the woman approached him, hugged him and took photographs with him before secretly slipping an unidentified item into the pocket of his jacket.

Ramsey Nouah explained that he initially thought the item was a handkerchief, but later discovered that it was something else.

He deliberately refused to disclose exactly what the woman had left in his pocket, leaving listeners to make their own guesses.

However, guests on the programme shouted that the item was the woman’s panties, a reaction that made the actor laugh.

Recounting the incident, Ramsey Nouah said:

“She walked up to me, she hugged me, we took pictures, and she left it in my jacket, and I took it out, I thought it was a handkerchief; it wasn’t a handkerchief. I will leave the rest for your imagination.”

The actor also discussed how his wife of about 27 years reacts to the romantic and intimate scenes he performs with other actresses in movies.

According to Ramsey Nouah, his wife has become used to seeing him kiss his co-stars because she understands that such scenes are part of his profession.

He revealed that she sometimes teases him about his kissing skills, joking that he is no longer as good as he used to be.

He quoted his wife as saying:

“Your woman needs to understand your work. I have been married to my wife for about 27 years. All the kisses and everything in movies, she is used to it. She used to tell me, ‘You are not kissing very well. You don’t do it anymore because you are not good anymore.’

Please Wait till Next Year – Lil Win Appeals to Ghanaians Over Private Videos

Published

on

Ghanaian Kumawood actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has appealed to anyone planning to release private videos to hold on until next year.

The actor appealed for renewed conversations on social media over the circulation of alleged private videos involving some personalities.

Lil Win explained that private videos that surface online often generate intense public interest and can quickly dominate conversations across social media platforms. He noted that such developments could make it difficult for other entertainment-related activities and projects to attract the attention they deserve.

According to the actor, he is particularly concerned about the possible impact of another viral private video on the promotion of his upcoming movie, A Journey to Africa. He said considerable resources had already been committed to the project and appealed to anyone who may be in possession of private footage to delay its release until next year.

His request was essentially for people to allow him and his team to have their moment in promoting the movie without another controversy taking over social media.

Lil Win also used the opportunity to encourage people who have recently found themselves at the centre of private-video controversies. Among those he mentioned was Kumawood actor Oteele, whose alleged private videos have recently sparked widespread online discussion.

The actor urged Oteele and others affected by similar incidents to remain strong and not allow the intense public attention and commentary to break them down.

The comments come against the backdrop of growing concerns about the circulation of private material on social media. Once such content is uploaded or shared, it can spread rapidly, reaching large audiences within a short period and subjecting the individuals involved to widespread public scrutiny.

Lil Win’s appeal, although linked to the promotion of A Journey to Africa, has also drawn attention to the broader consequences of sharing private material without the consent of the people involved.

He therefore called for patience, asking those who may be holding such footage to wait until next year before releasing anything, as he seeks to keep public attention focused on his upcoming movie.

Ramsey Nouah Praises Kumasi, Says Its People Are More Down-to-Earth Than Accra

Published

on

Nigerian actor and filmmaker Ramsey Nouah has spoken highly of Kumasi, describing the Ashanti Regional capital as a vibrant city filled with hardworking, entrepreneurial and down-to-earth people.

Nouah shared his observations during an interview on Angel FM after arriving in Kumasi to feature in an upcoming movie by Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win.

The veteran actor said he was impressed by the atmosphere in Kumasi and the energy of its residents. He likened the city to major Nigerian cities, particularly Lagos and Abuja, based on the different characteristics he has observed.

“Kumasi is lovely. People are awesome. The energy here is quite something — it’s almost like Lagos and Abuja,” he said.

Explaining the comparison, Nouah described Lagos as a city largely driven by hustlers, business-minded individuals and entrepreneurs who are constantly looking for opportunities to make a living and build businesses.

He contrasted this with Abuja, which he said is more associated with people who have already attained considerable financial success and enjoy what he described as the lifestyle of the “big boys.”

“Lagos is the hustlers’ place. Abuja is where people are eating, enjoying the big money and acting like they are the big boys. Lagos is more like the entrepreneurs. It feels like the same thing here,” Nouah explained.

According to him, Kumasi’s entrepreneurial nature reminds him more of Lagos because of the strong sense of hustle and business among the people he has encountered.

The actor also compared Kumasi with Ghana’s capital, Accra, particularly in terms of the attitude and lifestyle of residents.

Asked whether he preferred the more relaxed atmosphere he had experienced in Kumasi, Nouah agreed and said people in the Ashanti Regional capital appeared to be more down-to-earth than those in Accra.

“People are more down-to-earth here in Kumasi than in Accra, based on the experience,” he stated.

His comments come during a visit to Kumasi to join the cast of an upcoming production by Lil Win. His participation in the project adds to the growing collaboration between Ghanaian and Nigerian actors and
filmmakers.

Davido Warns Fan Against Disrespecting His Staff at London Concert

Published

on

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, briefly halted his “O2 Royal Night” concert in London after an audience member allegedly disrespected one of his crew members.

The incident happened on August 11, 2026, at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London, where Davido was performing as part of an early showcase of songs from his newly released album, Oriade.

During the performance, the singer stopped the music and addressed a member of the audience over the alleged incident. He issued a firm warning, telling the fan that he would leave the stage if the individual repeated the behaviour.

“If I see you here one more time, I’m going to walk off the stage,” Davido said.

The Afrobeats star also defended his crew members, reminding the audience that they had spent the entire day working to ensure the concert was successfully staged.

“These people have been working here all day. Don’t do that,” he said.

A video of the confrontation has since circulated widely on social media, showing Davido visibly upset as he addressed the audience member.

His decision to interrupt the performance and publicly stand up for his staff has attracted significant attention online, with many social media users praising his firm response.

However, the exact circumstances surrounding the alleged disrespect have not been established, and it was not immediately clear whether the fan was eventually removed from the venue.
