“I Slept with Someone in Church and Had a Child,” Gospel Singer Broda Sammy Confesses
Gospel musician Broda Sammy has revealed that he had an intimate encounter with a woman in a church, which led to the birth of his first child.
He made this disclosure during an exclusive interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM’s flagship Ekwanso Dwoodwoo drive-time show.
According to the singer, he was young and inexperienced at the time and did not fully understand sex. He claimed the woman took advantage of his naivety.
“This is one of my deepest secrets, something nobody knows about me. You know I don’t pretend, so I’m sharing it now that I’m a bachelor. Back then, I was responsible for the day-to-day activities of the church and often slept in the auditorium,” he recounted.
He explained that the incident occurred while he was asleep.
“One day, while I was sleeping on a bench, I was taking care of the church and didn’t even understand sex. I used to sleep in my boxer shorts, and like any man, the body reacts naturally in the early hours. She saw me in that state and lusted after me. A young woman who also helped at the church took advantage of me while I was still asleep. When I woke up, she was already on top of me. At first, I didn’t understand what was happening, I even thought it was something spiritual,” he said.
Broda Sammy emphasized his naivety and further revealed that the encounter resulted in a pregnancy.
“That incident led to a pregnancy. At the time, I was very inexperienced and didn’t fully understand sex. She was the first person I had ever been with. My senior pastor was the only one who knew and took responsibility for the child’s upbringing for many years,” he added.
The musician, popularly known as “The Nation Worshipper,” described the child as a blessing from God for his dedication to church service. He noted that the matter had remained a closely guarded secret, even from his siblings.
“Today, that child is 21 years old and studying at the University of Ghana, Legon. I cherish the child deeply and believe the child is a blessing from God for serving Him diligently. Even my siblings don’t know this story yet, but now that I’m divorced, I feel ready to open up. I have two children, one from my marriage and the other from that incident in the church. Looking back, I believe God saw my struggles and still blessed me,” he said.

Nicki Minaj Files Lawsuit Against Nigerian Influencer Over Alleged Cyberbullying and Copyright Violation
American rapper Nicki Minaj has initiated legal action against Nigerian social media influencer Dr Penking, accusing him of cyberbullying and copyright infringement.
The dispute arose after Dr Penking posted an older video of the rapper on the social media platform X on Saturday. The video was accompanied by a caption suggesting that Minaj should “accept that she has gotten old and retire,” a remark widely interpreted as derogatory.
Responding publicly, Minaj challenged the influencer’s right to use the footage, questioning whether he had obtained proper authorization. She further alleged that the video was used as a tool for harassment.
In a strongly worded reply, the rapper disclosed that legal action had already been taken against him. “Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harass me on this or any platform? You’ve just been added to the suit,” she wrote.
The case highlights ongoing concerns around online harassment and the unauthorized use of digital content on social media platforms.
