They Could Vote Against You – Criss Waddle Warns Over Beach Demolitions
Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Criss Waddle has cautioned the government to ensure that demolished beachfront businesses are replaced with better, safer and more meaningful developments.
In a post shared on his X page on 2 October 2026, Criss Waddle argued that demolishing structures at beach fronts without providing suitable alternatives could have political consequences for the government.
He said any replacement project must be completed before the next elections, warning that affected business owners and their employees could use the situation as a reason to vote against the government.
“The thing about demolition at beach fronts is you will have to replace it with something meaningful, nicer and safer than what was demolished,” he wrote.
Criss Waddle added that the replacement must be done before the elections because the affected businesses and workers could make the issue a factor in their voting decisions.
He wrote: “That has to be done before ELECTIONS or the business owners and employees will use that as leverage to vote against you.”

Fancy Gadam Reveals GH¢120,000 Fee Paid to Sarkodie for 2017 Hit
Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has revealed that he paid rapper Sarkodie GH¢120,000 for his feature on the 2017 hit song Total Chat.
According to Fancy Gadam, the collaboration became a major turning point in his career and gave him a new perspective on the financial opportunities within the music industry.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, the musician explained that he initially thought Sarkodie would feature on the song for free because of his close relationship with his former manager, Alhaji Nero.
Fancy Gadam said his manager handled the negotiations with Sarkodie, meaning he was not directly involved in discussions about the cost of the collaboration.
“For that collaboration, actually I didn’t negotiate business with him. It was my manager who did that with him, so I even believed that collaboration might be free because Sarkodie and Alhaji Nero are very good friends. They are neighbours. It’s like they grew up together, so they have a good relationship,” he said.
He explained that he only discovered how much had been paid when preparations for the song’s music video were underway.
“The only time I knew we paid him was when we were about to do the concept. The money we paid him made my eyes open. Imagine, in 2017, we paid Sarkodie GH¢120,000,” Fancy Gadam revealed.
The revelation led the host to suggest that Sarkodie may have given Fancy Gadam a reduced fee, considering reports about the rapper’s charges for collaborations around that period.
Despite the huge amount involved, Fancy Gadam said he does not regret spending the money because Sarkodie’s contribution had a significant impact on the song and his career.
“My eyes opened, and I realised music is music; there’s money in music. Trust me, I don’t regret paying that money because he deserved more. He pushed the song, and it got me awards. It opened more doors for me,” he said.
Fancy Gadam also expressed gratitude to Sarkodie for supporting the project and suggested that he would be open to working with him again.
“Thanks to Sarkodie for that wonderful support, and I think I will go back for another collaboration,” he added.

Rick Ross Arrested in Miami Beach on Domestic Violence-Related Charges
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — October 2, 2026 — Rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday after police investigated allegations of domestic violence involving a woman he had been living with.
Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts II, voluntarily surrendered to Miami Beach police and was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He faces a felony charge of battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor battery charge, according to police and court records.
What police allege
According to an arrest affidavit reported by CBS News Miami and ABC News, the allegations relate to an incident said to have occurred on August 28 at Ross’ residence on Star Island.
The woman told investigators that an argument began after Ross questioned her about an Instagram photograph. She alleged that he struck her several times and restricted her breathing by grabbing and twisting the collar of her hoodie. Police said she later provided photographs documenting injuries.
The woman reported the alleged incident to police on September 29, about a month after the date described in the affidavit. Investigators also said they reviewed surveillance footage connected with the woman’s departure from the residence.
Ross denies the allegations
Ross pleaded not guilty through his attorney. His legal team has rejected the accusations, saying he was wrongfully accused and asking the public not to prejudge the case while the judicial process continues. Ross also said after his release that he was innocent and described the allegations as fabricated.
A judge set his total bond at $5,000 and ordered Ross to have no direct or indirect contact with the accuser. The court also imposed additional conditions while the case proceeds.
Next court appearance
Ross’ arraignment is scheduled for October 22, 2026. The case remains pending, and the allegations have not been established as facts in court.
Ross has been a prominent figure in hip-hop since the release of his 2006 debut album Port of Miami and is known for the hit song “Hustlin’.” He also founded Maybach Music Group and has received nine Grammy nominations.

Let Women Breathe! – Moliy Calls Out Online Body Shamers
Ghanaian singer Moliy has addressed the relentless criticism women face online over their bodies, questioning when society will finally allow women to feel comfortable in their own skin.
The singer, in a post shared on X on October 1, 2026, highlighted what she described as a never-ending cycle of criticism directed at women over their appearance.
According to Moliy, women are pressured to look “perfect”, only to be criticised when they decide to enhance their bodies. She noted that the scrutiny does not stop there, as women can later be mocked or judged for growing older.
Moliy wrote:
“So y’all bully women to look perfect, shame them when they enhance their bodies, and the cycle continues; they grow older, they’re still criticised for ageing.”
She questioned when women are actually allowed to embrace their bodies without facing judgment, pointing to childhood as a period when people may feel less restricted by society’s beauty expectations.
Moliy also had a message for those who use social media to attack others over their appearance.
“It’s not of God to shame those who are made in God’s image. Remember that when all that wants to spill out of you is hate and criticism.”

‘GFA President Must Be Sacked’ – Criss Waddle Demands Kurt Okraku’s Exit After Black Stars Defeat
Ghanaian musician Criss Waddle has aimed at the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the Black Stars’ shocking 4–2 defeat to The Gambia in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
The Black Stars appeared to be cruising after taking a two-goal lead at the Accra Sports Stadium, but a dramatic collapse saw The Gambia score four times to complete a stunning comeback.
The defeat has triggered fresh criticism of the team’s management, with Waddle questioning why successive changes in the coaching department have failed to produce a lasting turnaround.
In a post on X on September 30, 2026, the rapper called for GFA President Kurt Okraku to be removed from office, arguing that the blame should not continually be placed on coaches.
Waddle pointed to the number of coaches who have been dismissed or replaced under the GFA’s leadership, arguing that the Black Stars’ struggles have persisted despite the changes.
He wrote:
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed or sacked at least over 10 head coaches in the past years, yet our football trajectory still hasn’t changed. Why do we still blame coaches… GFA president himself has to be sacked.”
Criss Waddle believes the time has come for the GFA leadership to answer questions over the Black Stars’ continued struggles.
