Anuonyam Concert 25’: Mabel Okyere Invites the Ashanti Regional Minister to Join in a Night of Praise

Minister Mabel Okyere, one of Ghana’s celebrated gospel voices, has officially invited the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr Frank Amoakohene, to grace the second edition of her highly anticipated gospel event, Anuonyam Concert 2025.

The formal invitation was delivered during a courtesy call by Minister Okyere to the Regional Minister’s office in Kumasi. The visit forms part of the ministry’s engagement with key stakeholders and leadership in the lead-up to what is expected to be one of the most spiritually impactful gospel concerts of the year.

During the visit, Minister Okyere expressed her gratitude to Hon. Dr Amoakohene for his continued support of the creative arts sector in the Ashanti Region, especially in promoting gospel music and youth empowerment. She emphasised the spiritual significance of the Anuonyam Concert as a night of heartfelt worship, praise, and thanksgiving to God.

 

“It would be a great honour to have you with us as we lift praises to God for His glory, Anuonyam, which has been evident in my life and ministry.” Mabel Okyere remarked during the invitation.

The Ashanti Regional Minister warmly welcomed the invitation and commended Mabel Okyere for her consistency and influence in the gospel music space. He lauded her dedication to using her platform for spiritual transformation and community impact.

This year’s theme, “A Night of Glory,” promises a divine atmosphere of worship, healing, and celebration. Minister Mabel Okyere will be joined by a star-studded lineup of gospel ministers, including: Uncle Ato, Kwaku Gyasi, Isaac Frimpong, Georgia Adjei, Victoria Sarfo and Daughters of Glorious Jesus (Special Guest Ministers)

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, recognizing her as a passionate advocate for the arts and a proud custodian of Ghana’s cultural heritage.

 

In a statement, the Union described its relationship with the former First Lady as one filled with warmth, wisdom, and a deep commitment to the creative industry. MUSIGA recalled her active role in organizing the 2021 tribute concert for her late husband, former President Jerry John Rawlings — noting that her personal involvement was key to the event’s success.

 

According to the Union, Nana Konadu worked hand in hand with MUSIGA to design a ceremony that not only honored the late former President but also celebrated the vital role of musicians in preserving the nation’s collective memory.
