The rapper’s collaboration with Lasmid, titled Faith, occupies the number one position, while several other songs from his catalogue have also secured prominent places on the rankings.

His solo songs Bra, Bombele, Survivor and Soul Healer occupy the second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively, giving the rapper a strong presence at the top of the chart.

Other Kweku Smoke songs featured in the Top 20 include Hallelujah, Mmereniho featuring Diko, Okwantunii, Power House featuring Kwesi Arthur, Life of a Hustler, No Days Off, Set It Straight and Through the Pain.

The chart performance comes five weeks after the release of his No Days Off album, with the project continuing to generate streaming activity and maintain the rapper’s visibility among Ghanaian music listeners.

Kwaw Kese Makes U-Turn on Shatta Wale Beef: ‘I Want to Tap Into His Blessings’

Published

on

Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has declared an end to his long-standing rivalry with dancehall musician Shatta Wale, saying he now wants to learn from the musician’s success rather than engage in a feud with him.

The Awoyo Sofo hitmaker described Shatta Wale as his “school son” and acknowledged that the dancehall star had made more money than him. He expressed his willingness to tap into Shatta Wale’s blessings and maintain a cordial relationship with him.

“From today going, I am not beefing with Shatta Wale. He is my school son. Now he has made more money than me, so I want to tap into his blessings,” Kwaw Kese said.

The rapper’s comments signal a shift in his approach to his relationship with Shatta Wale, as he seeks to put aside their differences and focus on building positive relationships within the Ghanaian music industry.

Kwaw Kese also dismissed suggestions that his friendship with fellow musician Stonebwoy means he has issues with Shatta Wale or rapper Sarkodie.

He explained that his association with Stonebwoy should not be interpreted as opposition to other musicians, insisting that he has no ongoing beef with any of his colleagues.

“I am not beefing with Shatta Wale, I am not beefing with Sarkodie, and I am not beefing with anybody. Stonebwoy is my man, but that doesn’t mean I am beefing with anybody,” he stated.

His clarification comes amid the longstanding rivalries and fan-group tensions that have characterised sections of Ghana’s music industry, particularly among supporters of some of the country’s biggest artistes.

The rapper also appealed directly to Shatta Wale’s fan base, known as Shatta Movement, urging its members to support his music and attend his shows rather than treat him as an enemy because of the perceived rivalry between the two musicians.

He encouraged the fans to stream his songs whenever he releases new music and show up at his concerts to demonstrate their support.

“Shatta Movement, I am not beefing with anybody, so if I drop my song, you people should stream am. If I dey do my show, you for show up,” Kwaw Kese said.

The appeal suggests that he wants to extend the proposed reconciliation beyond his personal relationship with Shatta Wale to include the dancehall star’s supporters, whom he hopes will also embrace his music.

Kwaw Kese further indicated that he would be willing to perform at Shatta Wale’s upcoming ShattaFest if the dancehall musician agrees to include him on the programme.

The festival is scheduled for October 17, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“If Shatta Wale agrees, I go come perform for ShattaFest. Ebi SM wey dey cause the problem. Shatta Wale doesn’t have a problem with me,” he added.

His comments suggest that he believes tensions between the two musicians may be driven more by disagreements among their respective fan bases than by personal animosity between them.

Regina Daniels Reveals Months of Severe Pain After Celebrating 25th Birthday in Wheelchair

Published

on

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about a health challenge that she says left her struggling to walk for several months and forced her to depend on assistance to move around.

The actress shared the account in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as she marked her 25th birthday and responded to questions about her prolonged absence from social media.

Daniels explained that the condition began as what appeared to be a minor problem but gradually worsened, affecting her ability to move freely.

She said the situation took a more difficult turn after a Children’s Day carnival she hosted, following which she underwent repeated medical tests while trying to understand what was happening.

“I know many of you may be surprised to see me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life,” she said while explaining her absence.

The actress described the experience as emotionally and physically challenging, saying the pain sometimes became so severe that she could not move as she wished.

“The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.

Daniels also spoke about the difficulty of depending on other people for even basic movements, a change she said was particularly challenging for someone who had previously enjoyed an active lifestyle.

She said she had continued to look to God for healing during the period and expressed gratitude for improvements in her recovery.

According to the actress, she decided to speak publicly because she had noticed significant developments in her condition and wanted to address the concerns of people who had been asking about her.

However, she did not disclose the specific illness responsible for the mobility problems or provide details of any diagnosis.

The disclosure has attracted attention from fans and entertainment audiences, particularly because the actress had been relatively quiet on social media for months.

Shatta Wale Reveals He Has Made $45,000 From TikTok Live Gifts

Published

on

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has disclosed that he has earned approximately US$45,000 from virtual gifts received during his TikTok livestreams, highlighting the financial opportunities social media offers musicians and content creators.

The musician, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., made the revelation during an appearance on rapper YPee’s podcast, The Real Ones, where he spoke about his experience with livestreaming and how he eventually embraced TikTok.

Shatta Wale explained that he initially had reservations about joining TikTok because he viewed it as a platform largely dominated by younger users, particularly Generation Z.

According to him, he was comfortable using Facebook Live to interact with his fans until Ghanaian content creator Jackline Mensah repeatedly encouraged him to explore TikTok Live.

“It used to be Facebook Live at first. Until this lady named Jackline Mensah kept pressuring me to go on TikTok Live,” he recalled.

He said he was initially unconvinced about the idea but eventually decided to give the platform a chance after receiving further encouragement from others.

“At first I was sceptical, ‘What am I doing with TikTok? I’m not a Gen Z,’ but then other people kept pressuring me until I decided to check it out,” he said.

The On God hitmaker disclosed that the decision had proved financially rewarding, with gifts from viewers generating thousands of dollars.

“When I open my TikTok account, I have made about $45,000 on there, because I get a lot of gifts during my livestreams,” Shatta Wale stated.

TikTok Live allows viewers to send virtual gifts to creators during broadcasts. These gifts can generate earnings under the platform’s monetisation system, although the amount creators ultimately receive depends on applicable platform rules and deductions.

Shatta Wale’s reported earnings highlight how artistes can explore alternative revenue streams beyond traditional music sales, streaming royalties, concerts, brand endorsements and other commercial engagements.

His experience also demonstrates how livestreaming enables musicians to interact directly with supporters, build stronger online communities and create opportunities to earn from their digital presence.

The dancehall artiste further urged aspiring musicians and creative entrepreneurs to remain consistent in promoting their products and engaging their audiences.

“So anyone who wants to be in the music business, he or she has to be consistent in promoting his/her products,” he advised.

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah Urges GTA to Develop Tabre Waterfalls for Tourism

Published

on

Ghanaian media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has called on the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to prioritise the development and promotion of Tabre Waterfalls in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency of the Ashanti Region to boost tourism and create economic opportunities for residents.

He believes the waterfalls have the potential to become a major tourist destination, attracting both local and international visitors if the necessary infrastructure and promotional efforts are put in place.

According to him, developing the site could generate revenue for the community, create jobs and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for residents, particularly the youth.

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah noted that young people in the area, including tricycle operators, could benefit from increased tourist arrivals by providing transportation services to visitors travelling to and from the attraction.

He appealed during a visit to the waterfalls on October 10, 2026, as part of activities marking his birthday celebration.

He urged the Ghana Tourism Authority and other relevant stakeholders to take immediate steps to develop the attraction and promote it to a wider audience.

“Let this mark the beginning of efforts by the Ghana Tourism Authority to promote this place so that people from all over the world can come here,” he stated.

Beyond the waterfalls, Tabre is also home to two other distinctive attractions: Umbrella Rock and a remarkable tree with a palm tree growing inside its trunk.

These natural features, he believes, could further enhance the area’s appeal as a tourism destination if they receive the necessary attention, investment and publicity.

The call highlights the potential of lesser-known tourist sites in Ghana to contribute to local economic development when supported by appropriate infrastructure, effective marketing and collaboration between tourism authorities and host communities.

Kofi Adjorlolo Explains Why He Won’t Feature in LilWin’s ‘A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu)’

Published

on

Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Adjorlolo has explained why he will not appear in LilWin’s upcoming movie, A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu), citing health challenges as the reason for his absence.

Adjorlolo disclosed that he had been approached to feature in the production but was still recovering from an illness after returning from Nigeria, where he had been working on another film project.

Speaking in an interview with Max TV, the actor said he informed LilWin and his production team about his health condition, stressing that his decision not to participate had nothing to do with any disagreement between them.

He explained that he maintained a cordial relationship with LilWin and had supported several of the filmmaker’s previous productions without turning down opportunities to work with him.

According to Adjorlolo, there is no misunderstanding between the two, adding that his inability to join the upcoming movie was solely due to his health.

Beyond clarifying his absence, the veteran actor also shared his concerns about the challenges facing Ghana’s film industry, calling for increased investment to improve the quality of local productions.

He argued that filmmakers need adequate financial support to produce high-quality movies capable of competing with productions from other countries and helping the Ghanaian film industry grow.

LilWin’s A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu) features a blend of Ghanaian and Nigerian actors, including Nollywood stars Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor, Mike Ezuruonye, Charles Awurum, Zubby Michael and Destiny Etiko.

The project forms part of LilWin’s efforts to bring actors and other talents from across the African film industry together to create a production that showcases the continent’s cinematic talent.
