Francis Amo Copyright Matter: Bnoskka Offers Apology and Retracts Comments
Ghanaian Creative Arts Business Development and Intellectual Property Consultant who doubles as a lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr Oduro Arhin, popularly known as (Bnoskka), has issued a formal apology to The Church of Pentecost over earlier comments surrounding the Police invitation of Francis Amo in a copyright infringement case.
In a press release, Bnoskka retracted his previous claims, acknowledged inaccuracies in the information he relied on, and affirmed that the church acted within its legal rights under the Copyright Act, 2005 (Act 690).
The presser reads,
I want to use this platform to offer a sincere apology and clarify statements I made regarding the Church of Pentecost (COP) and the police’s invitation of Francis Amo for copyright infringement.
Following a meeting with the General Secretary and other officers of the Church of Pentecost on one hand, and Minister Francis Amo and his team, on the other hand, at Headquarters of the Church of Pentecost, La, Accra, concerning the copyright infringement issue involving Minister Francis Amo, I wish to make the following clarifications:
- I apologise to the Church of Pentecost for stating that the church didn’t authorise individuals who reported Francis Amo to the Accra Regional Police. I acted on incorrect and inadequate information from Mr Ola Michael. COP did authorise the invitation of Francis Amo to the Greater Accra Region Crime Office to assist in the investigation for copyright infringement.
- I apologise for confirming Mr Ola Michael’s claim that the COP’s Chairman wasn’t aware of the report.
- I apologise for asking COP to apologise to Christendom for causing the invitation of Francis Amo. The church acted within its rights under section 43 of ACT 690 of the Copyright Act 2005 with respect to the provisions relating to criminal remedies.
- I regret any inconvenience and any negative implications that my statements would have emanated to the leadership, representatives, and membership of the Church of Pentecost at large. I hereby retract previous statements and acknowledge COP’s rightful actions.
Signed,
Dr. Oduro Arhin (Bnoskka)

Is McBrown Responding to MzGee? Viral Video Sparks Online Debate
A recent viral video of Nana Ama McBrown has set social media abuzz, with many wondering if the actress and media personality, fondly called “Her Excellency McBrown,” was sending a subtle message to broadcaster MzGee.
The clip shows McBrown singing and laughing with actress Emelia Brobbey. Brobbey is seated on a sofa, laughing uncontrollably, while McBrown faces the camera, smiling and singing cheerfully. But it was the song’s lyrics that caught people’s attention and fueled speculation online.
The lyrics say:
“Do what you can do and leave the rest. Understand people. If you don’t understand human nature, you’ll be like a crab. Whatever you do will not please them. Understand human nature. Even God does not understand humans, so how can you understand humans?”
The timing of the video has sparked debate. Many netizens believe McBrown was responding to MzGee’s recent emotional remarks about her stint on United Showbiz.
The Background
MzGee went viral after an interview on Okay FM with Nana Romeo Welewele, where she opened up about the intense backlash she faced after taking over United Showbiz from McBrown. She said the criticism became especially harsh because she was stepping into McBrown’s shoes as host of the UTV entertainment show.
MzGee also revealed that she had expected McBrown to publicly defend her while viewers and fans criticized the transition.
McBrown hosted United Showbiz on UTV under Despite Media Group before exiting for Media Generale. She now hosts Onua Showtime with McBrown on Onua TV. After her departure, MzGee became the face of United Showbiz, a change that triggered widespread debate and constant comparisons between the two presenters.
Mixed Reactions Online
McBrown has not directly addressed MzGee’s comments. Yet the viral video and its lyrics have reignited conversations online. Some social media users think the song was a pointed message about criticism and public perception. Others argue it was just a lighthearted moment between two colleagues, with no hidden meaning.
For now, McBrown has stayed silent on the speculation, leaving netizens divided over whether the video was a subtle response or simply a fun moment caught on camera.
Meanwhile, followers in the comment section have already formed their opinion that the song is a shade thrown at MzGee. Check out some of the comments below:
