King Promise stands tall for TGMA Artiste of the Year award – Kwasi Ernest

Kwasi Ernest, the CEO of Media Excel and member of Table of Men (TOM), an advocacy group for gospel music, has declared that King Promise deserves Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
Throwing his weight behind King Promise, he told Graphic Showbiz, “King promise stands tall under the year in review. He deserves it.”
This year’s Artiste of the Year race has Stonebwoy, King Promise, King Paluta, Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke with Team Eternity Ghana and Joe Mettle representing the gospel family.
In previous years, TOM, had been at the forefront of campaigns for gospel artistes in the Artiste of the Year category but CEO of Media Excel and a member of Table of Men, Kwasi Ernest, says the group is not a PR machine for gospel artistes.
In an interview with the Graphic Showbiz on Tuesday, April 15, Kwasi Ernest revealed that TOM only campaigned for gospel artistes who approached them and didn’t do it without their consent and collaboration.
“Table of Men is not bias. People have to understand that the group isn’t a PR machine for any gospel artiste so it’s only proper for any artiste who got nominations to tell their team to lead the campaign.
“However, if they feel Table of Men have any influence and campaigning for them will strengthen their chances of winning, why not? We are ready to help because we stand for the promotion and well-being of the gospel music industry,” he said.

[VIDEO] Qwame Stika Breaks Silence Over ‘Yahitti’ Dispute with King Paluta

Fast-rising music act Qwame Stika has finally broken his silence over the controversy surrounding the hit song Yahitti, originally released by King Paluta. Speaking during a heated interview on Top 103.1 F.M Showbiz with host Londona Niee, Stika revealed that he gave King Paluta the green light to release the song purely out of loyalty and mutual respect.
“I allowed King Paluta to release Yahitti out of loyalty,” he said. “But he broke that bond when he featured Kuami Eugene on the remix without my consent.”
According to Stika, the original track was a collaborative effort, and any major decision regarding its direction or future versions should have involved him. He expressed disappointment that such a critical move featuring a high-profile artist like Kuami Eugene was done behind his back.
“This wasn’t just a song, it was a shared vision. For him to go ahead and make such a big change without even informing me, let alone asking for my input, feels like a betrayal,” he added.
The revelation has sparked debate among fans and industry players alike, with some calling for clearer agreements in collaborations, especially among emerging artists in Ghana’s music scene.
As tensions rise, it remains to be seen whether the two artists will reconcile or if this marks the end of their working relationship.
