In a night filled with glamour, inspiration, and industry celebration, veteran broadcaster and creative arts advocate Kojo Preko Dankwa was crowned Greater Accra Radio Personality of the Year at the 14th CityHill Foklex Media Awards, held at the National Theatre of Ghana on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
The prestigious event brought together media professionals from all 16 regions of Ghana, under one roof, to recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions across the radio, television, and digital media landscape. He also serves as the Head, Kessben 92.9 FM Accra as well as head of production and Content. Fast-rising music act Qwame Stika has finally broken his silence over the controversy surrounding the hit song Yahitti, originally released by King Paluta. Speaking during a heated interview on Top 103.1 F.M Showbiz with host Londona Niee, Stika revealed that he gave King Paluta the green light to release the song purely out of loyalty and mutual respect.
“I allowed King Paluta to release Yahitti out of loyalty,” he said. “But he broke that bond when he featured Kuami Eugene on the remix without my consent.”
According to Stika, the original track was a collaborative effort, and any major decision regarding its direction or future versions should have involved him. He expressed disappointment that such a critical move featuring a high-profile artist like Kuami Eugene was done behind his back.
“This wasn’t just a song, it was a shared vision. For him to go ahead and make such a big change without even informing me, let alone asking for my input, feels like a betrayal,” he added.
The revelation has sparked debate among fans and industry players alike, with some calling for clearer agreements in collaborations, especially among emerging artists in Ghana’s music scene.
