SammyFlex Debunks Claims of Shatta Wale Snub at Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s Birthday Party

The absence of Ghanaian dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, from the birthday celebration of business mogul Richard Nii Armah Quaye has ignited widespread speculation and debate on social media.
Despite claims that the musician was not invited to the exclusive event, his manager, Sammy Flex, has come forward to clarify the situation. Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s lavish birthday party, held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, was a grand affair that attracted a host of local and international celebrities.
Prominent figures from Ghana’s entertainment, business, and political spheres were in attendance, making it one of the most talked-about events in recent weeks. Given the impressive guest list, many fans expected Shatta Wale to be present. However, his notable absence led to speculation, with some users on social media questioning whether the artist had fallen out of favour with the celebrant or had been deliberately left off the guest list.
Others wondered about Shatta Wale’s relevance in the industry, noting that many of his contemporaries attended the event. In response to the rumours, Sammy Flex categorically denied claims that the artist had been snubbed. He explained that an invitation was indeed extended to Shatta Wale, but due to reasons known only to him, he chose not to attend. “I was in London when I received a call from someone named Suriah,” Sammy Flex stated.
“I couldn’t pick up at the time, but she sent me a WhatsApp message indicating she was calling about Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s birthday. I asked her to contact a member of our team, and when I returned, I confirmed with them that she did indeed reach out. So, Shatta Wale’s invitation was legitimate, but every artist has their reasons.”

[VIDEO] Qwame Stika Breaks Silence Over ‘Yahitti’ Dispute with King Paluta

Fast-rising music act Qwame Stika has finally broken his silence over the controversy surrounding the hit song Yahitti, originally released by King Paluta. Speaking during a heated interview on Top 103.1 F.M Showbiz with host Londona Niee, Stika revealed that he gave King Paluta the green light to release the song purely out of loyalty and mutual respect.
“I allowed King Paluta to release Yahitti out of loyalty,” he said. “But he broke that bond when he featured Kuami Eugene on the remix without my consent.”
According to Stika, the original track was a collaborative effort, and any major decision regarding its direction or future versions should have involved him. He expressed disappointment that such a critical move featuring a high-profile artist like Kuami Eugene was done behind his back.
“This wasn’t just a song, it was a shared vision. For him to go ahead and make such a big change without even informing me, let alone asking for my input, feels like a betrayal,” he added.
The revelation has sparked debate among fans and industry players alike, with some calling for clearer agreements in collaborations, especially among emerging artists in Ghana’s music scene.
As tensions rise, it remains to be seen whether the two artists will reconcile or if this marks the end of their working relationship.
