Ghana Premier League: Aduana FC unveils new team bus ahead of Dreams FC clash

Ghana Premier League side Aduana Football Club have official unveiled their new team bus on Friday ahead of their game against Dreams FC.

The new vehicle is boldly wrapped with club colours, symbols of fire, and a commanding portrait of Dormaahene Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II.

The club made the announcement on their social media page on Friday night.

“New wheels. Zero brakes on ambition. Decorated with royal pride. Driven by purpose. We’re coming.”

A symbolic salute to the traditional ruler who serves as the club’s life patron and guiding force.

The Bus unveiling comes just days before a pivotal Matchday 24 fixture in the Ghana Premier League, where Aduana travels to face Dreams Football Club at 3pm on Sunday.

Berekum Chelsea midfielder Kwesi Badori joins Bologna in Italy

Berekum Chelsea’s defensive midfielder Kwesi Sorotu Badori has joined Italian Serie A side Bologna FC 1909 on loan until June 30, 2026, with an option for a permanent deal in Summer.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been outstanding with 14 league appearances and two goals this season, up from one goal in 29 matches last season.

Bologna beat competition from Swiss giants FC Basel and several Danish clubs to secure Badori’s signature, praising his technical quality, composure in midfield, and growing influence on games.

He’s currently in Ghana finalizing his work permit before joining Bologna’s youth team.

Badori’s move marks a significant step in his career, following steady progress at Berekum Chelsea since 2024.

Asante Kotoko Appoints James Osei Brown and Two Others as New Board

Asante Kotoko has appointed new Board of Directors, by His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.

James Osei Brown, CEO of Joshob Construction, is the new Chairman, with Kwasi Osei Ofori, CEO of Rocksure, as Vice-Chairman. Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, is also on the board.

The Board is tasked with taking Asante Kotoko to greater heights, with Brown expressing determination to restore the club’s former glory.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) will continue to handle day-to-day management until the end of the 2025/2026 Premier League season.

Osei Ofori and Amoa-Abban are experienced business leaders, with Osei Ofori having over 40 years of experience in construction and mining, and Amoa-Abban being a prominent oil and gas entrepreneur.

2026 FIFA World Cup: President Mahama tasks supporters to return immediately after the tournament

President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has tasked Ghanaian Soccer supports who will be having access to support the Black Stars during the FIFA world cup 2026 in USA, Mexico and Canada to return home immediately after the tournament.

He also described the 2026 FIFA World Cup as a strategic opportunity to elevate Ghana’s global image, urging strict adherence to travel regulations by supporters who intend to follow the Black Stars to the tournament.

During the 2026 State of the Nation Address in Parliament, the President stressed that Ghana’s participation in the global competition must go beyond football and serve as a vehicle for national branding.

“This (the 2026 World Cup) is an opportunity to boost national branding. Supporters requiring to go must put in a visa request. We must ensure World Cup supporters return after tournament,” he stated.

The President’s comments come as Ghana prepares for its fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Mahama underscored the importance of responsible travel by fans, emphasizing that supporters must follow proper visa procedures and comply with immigration regulations of the host nations. According to him, safeguarding Ghana’s international reputation is paramount as the country takes part in one of the world’s most watched sporting events.

The Black Stars are expected to draw significant support from Ghanaian communities abroad, particularly in North America.

Ghana will compete in Group L of the 2026 World Cup, facing Panama, England, and Croatia as they aim to improve on recent performances and make a strong statement on the global stage
