In a recent interview with media personality Kojo Preko Dankwa on KessBen Entertainment via Kessben 92.2 FM/TV, Hon. Gideon Nii Aryeequaye, the newly appointed CEO of the Creative Arts Agency, criticized former CEO Gyankroman Akuffo Addo for failing to capitalize on significant opportunities during her tenure.

Hon. Aryeequaye expressed frustration over the resources and influence available to Gyankromah Akuffo Addo, which he believes she did not fully utilize to advance the creative arts sector.

He narrates that, as the president’s daughter, she had unique access to support and could have made impactful changes within the agency. “She had everything at her disposal to ensure the Creative Arts Agency operated effectively,” he stated.

“I don’t understand why she did not leverage her position to promote the agency’s interests but rather inflict on her interest” he fumed.

Gideon’s appointment as the C.E.O of the Creative Arts Agency is a strategic move to drive the implementation of the government’s ambitious Black Star Experience, an initiative aimed at revitalising Ghana’s cultural, arts, and tourism sectors.

He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having played an instrumental part in shaping Ghana’s tourism landscape.

As the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), he was a key figure in promoting and developing tourism initiatives across Ghana.

His tenure at the GTDC saw a transformation in the promotion of Ghana’s tourism sector, leading to an increase in domestic and international interest in Ghana as a prime travel destination.

Aryeequaye has also been actively involved in media and communications, leveraging his extensive knowledge of public relations and marketing to boost the visibility of Ghana’s cultural heritage and tourism assets.

His leadership in various capacities has demonstrated his commitment to positioning Ghana as a leading hub for arts, culture, and entertainment in Africa.

[VIDEO] Qwame Stika Breaks Silence Over ‘Yahitti’ Dispute with King Paluta

Published

on

Fast-rising music act Qwame Stika has finally broken his silence over the controversy surrounding the hit song Yahitti, originally released by King Paluta. Speaking during a heated interview on Top 103.1 F.M Showbiz with host Londona Niee, Stika revealed that he gave King Paluta the green light to release the song purely out of loyalty and mutual respect.

“I allowed King Paluta to release Yahitti out of loyalty,” he said. “But he broke that bond when he featured Kuami Eugene on the remix without my consent.”

According to Stika, the original track was a collaborative effort, and any major decision regarding its direction or future versions should have involved him. He expressed disappointment that such a critical move featuring a high-profile artist like Kuami Eugene was done behind his back.

“This wasn’t just a song, it was a shared vision. For him to go ahead and make such a big change without even informing me, let alone asking for my input, feels like a betrayal,” he added.

The revelation has sparked debate among fans and industry players alike, with some calling for clearer agreements in collaborations, especially among emerging artists in Ghana’s music scene.

As tensions rise, it remains to be seen whether the two artists will reconcile or if this marks the end of their working relationship.
